Making better use of the space

Whangaparaoa Road, Matakatia Renovation

From bland to beautiful, the outdoor deck railing was changed to glass balustrade; decks off the ranch sliders create new living areas and stairs were added to access the backyard. Garden areas were created and even a garden shed down the back with its own access ramp for the wheelbarrow.

Back Yard Bliss. And with the left over timbers Jason built the 4 year old supervisor her own picnic table.

Rishworth Avenue, Arkles Bay Renovation

This little charmer went from frumpy to fab with an external and internal facelift. New glass balustrade and a garden make over created the new look outside. A custom-made king-size bath for the very tall client was installed in the new bathroom. Our Design and Build teams worked together on this project making it a seamless process.

Tired to trendy, the old timber deck was removed and replaced with ceramic tiles.

The new boundary fence, back door landing and garden boxes come together to finish the area around the existing pool.

Noakes Hill Road, Puhoi Rebuild

After a fire tragically destroyed this rural home, Duncan Building Services Ltd was called in for the rebuild.

Starting with the assessment of fire damage to structural members, the team demolished most of what was left of the house as it was unsafe. The foundations remained relatively intact and were reconstructed to support the new home.

Access to the remote site was via a steep narrow driveway, making it a challenge for delivery of bulk materials to and from the site. However, this challenge was also the site’s greatest asset – its view.

The new home stands proud again, capturing the beautiful views of Puhoi’s rolling bush-clad countryside.
